About us

The Centre for Musical Instrument Building ("Centrum voor Muziekinstrumentenbouw"Cmb) is a non-profit organisation based in Puurs, Belgium, which aims to spread the knowledge and richness of the craft, mainly through research, specialised courses and documentation resources.

We are mentoring people on their way to becoming true professionals in the art of musical instrument making, offering opportunities for both those who want to hone their existing skills and those who just want to attend a particular session, workshop or lecture.

An international reputation is reflected by the participation of renowned musicians and instrument makers from home and abroad in symposia and festivals organised by our centre. These events contribute to the development of an international global network for musical instrument making.
